Refreshing library

Is there any way to refresh the library without connecting to a computer?

I've tried the way suggested in http://a3nm.net/blog/fnacbook_kobo_more_hacking.html , but I couldn't get it to work (the connected screen keeps showing), and I've tried playing around with ejecting an SD-card.

I'm downloading files using wget, but I need nickel to realize there's new files in /mnt/onboard.
