After a factory reset, after setting the Sideload mode, on my Kobo Clara BW with firmware 4.39.23027 in the Authors section, the names of authors appeared whose books I don't have on the device.
In the books section, of course, only those books that I have physically uploaded are shown.
What's going on? How can you remove those authors who don't know where they came from?
